To All USA Rugby South Daytona Qualifying Event Participants and Host
The attachment(s) are answers to a few questions recently brought up yesterday by “teams” hoping to participate in the Qualifier in Daytona.
Here are a few issues:
Daytona Men MUST have a release in-hand before the tournament saying that Embry-Riddle players have been released by the Club President to play for the Daytona Men’s Club (or vice versa). Those Players who are released from ERA or Daytona RFC may not participate for any other club this 7’s season in qualifier matches.
FAU and Boca Raton must also have releases from both club Presidents releasing their players to the other club AND those players may not swap over for the remainder of the 7’s season.
The “Miami Argies” ARE NOT A FULL MEMBER CLUB AND MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE QUALIFIER. The players in question MUST play under Miami RFC or Trident RFC and they must have releases from their respective club presidents prior to the Qualifier and on-hand before the match.
All of this can be found in the South Handbook and is in place to prevent player(s) from playing for more than one club during the 7’s season.
