Hello Everyone,

I have given all teams a week longer than deadline because a few of you have scrambled this week and have cleared some big balances up.  Before all of you split for the holidays, we really need to clear the rest of you up from your past due invoices.  The following teams are not in good standing:

Please see attached photographs of a boot with a single toe stud configuration
that is being purchased for use in playing Rugby. This is illegal under Law 4.4
(j) and players should not be permitted to play with boots with that sole
configuration Please note that any Adidas boots with this configuration have not
been designed or sold as a Rugby product.

Level 1 Course is the basic referee course. It
covers the referee’s priorities, provides an introduction to the Laws of the
game, risk management as well as examining scrums, rucks/mauls, tackles,
line-outs, offside and advantage with focus on the critical aspects of the game
and how to referee them. The course does not go through the Laws of the game
page by page. There is an open book test at the end of the course which students
will take on the day, so you will know when you leave whether or not you have
passed. Attendees will need to wear comfortable clothing suitable for both
classroom and on the field practical sessions.
Students are encouraged to
complete the online law exam prior to the course. Go to http://www.irblaws.com – once
successfully complete, please print and bring with you to the course the IRB
certificate. This will count as completion of the exam requirement, the
participants will still be required to complete an in class safety exam.
Students are also required to complete www.rugbyready.com and bring your certificate to the class.

This course will be limited to 20 future referees, so register now to
reserve your spot!
HOW TO REGISTER: Participants are required to register
on the membership.usarugby.org website, CIPP is required. Once
membership is established then sign up for the course at  https://membership.usarugby.org/Courses/OnlineSignup/SelectCourses.aspx?Category=EVENTCAT_REFEREE

your name, contact email address, and phone number. The online fee for the
course is $50 and a $10 fee will be charged at the door.

FAU beat UM 73-0 while FIU beat USF 25-19 to close out regular season play for the South Conference.

The 2011 Collegiate Men’s Rugby Florida Cup will feature UF, FIU, UCF and FAU in a 2 day knockout tournament in Gainesville, Fl.

Details will be released within the next few days.

Florida Cup Championship will be held Nov 19 & 20 in Gainesville, Fl.
UF, UCF, and FIU have clinched a spot,  UM, FAU and USF are battling for the last spot.  Saturday’s results will tell the tale.

I have recieved no results from the B teams or the D2 teams.

If you want to compete in the D2 cup Nov 19 in Gaiensville, send me your results by Friday Nov 5.
