Tampa Bary Krewe RFC Seeking 15′s Coach
The 2010 USA Rugby Men’s Division II National Championship and 2011 National Championship runner-up Tampa Bay Krewe RFC is seeking a new head coach. The Tampa Bay Krewe RFC was formed in 1991 and has since grown to national prominence. Utilizing strong ties with local collegiate clubs like the University of South Florida and Eckerd University, the U19 Tampa Barbarians as well as being a destination for those looking to escape the winters of the Northeast and Midwest, the Tampa Bay Krewe have positioned themselves as the premier rugby organization in the state of Florida.
The Krewe is looking for a strong leader who is willing and able to lead bi-weekly structured practices, developing skills and fitness in an effort to perform and compete at the highest level on Saturday. Candidates must also be committed to promoting the sport of rugby through the team’s developmental side as well as clinics and events organized by the club’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years coaching experience with preference given, but not limited to, Men’s Club experience. Ideally candidates will be CDP certified by USA Rugby having completed at a minimum the Introducing Rugby workshop (Developing Rugby Skills workshop is preferred) and/or IRB level I certification (IRB level II certification is preferred).
