At last weeks Ruggerfest Michael was critically injured and suffered a broken neck in a game playing for Boston Irish in the over 35’s. He was rushed to North Broward hospital and despite emergency surgery he is now paralyzed from the neck down. We all hope and pray he will recover some movement over the coming months.
In a great show of generosity on the Sunday $2000 was raised for Mike’s family and Life University donated their $ 2000 winners check to help ease the burden in the short term. Mike has a wife and 2 children.His club, Albany (NY) Knickerbockers is rallying round to support.
A number of clubs have suggested a collection for Mike at this weekends games. Should you want to FRU has set up for our treasurer Lisa O’Donnell to consolidate funds and channel them through the trust that is being set up.
This is a time for us to pull together for a brother.
