  • FLORIDA PLAYER SELECTED FOR N OTAGO IN NZ NPC

    Great news for Florida Rugby: Young Rugby Academy of Florida 19yr old Brendan Gray who played his pre-season in the UK for Moseley D-1 last year, 4 years for the Rugby Academy of Florida Thunder U19’s All Stars and is also on the USA U20’s National pool is selected for North Otago in New Zealand to play against Otago (NPC).

    Brendan’s been in NZ for the past three (3) months moving up the NZ rugby ladder and is now playing the full season (until November 5th 2009) over in New Zealand under Heartlands Head Coach Mike Mullins. For you who don’t know Mike Mullins, he has 16 Caps for Ireland and 116 tests games for the Munster’s.

    Brendan will be playing # 9 (# 10 if needed) and is also the team kicker.

      Congrats to Brendan Gray and his dad and family. There are opportunities out there, you’ve just got to keep at it and try hard each and every day. Great example for the youth of Florida Rugby.
