FL YOUTH GIRLS ALLSTARS
The FRU is pleased to announce that for the first time Florida has entered a girls U19 Florida AllStar team into the N Carolina Youth Rugby Festival to be held in Charlotte in June.
This tournament is recognized by USAR as one of the events at which junior Eagles are identified and invited to try out camps.
Alan Dobson of the Florida Rugby Academy (FRA) is Head Coach and the first Trials will be held May 2nd in Jupiter and then a second training session st SRHS later in May.

The FRU VP Youth, Martin Gardner commented, ‘we have been working to launch a truly representative Florida Select side program for our younger players using the resources of the FRA and with the financial support of our members. We have had a number of our youth players make it through to represent the USA as junior Eagles and we certainly expect a numbe rof our girls to also break through into the Eagles selection process.
The FRU is also planning to enetr a Boys U19 team as well and look out for details of that coming up.
