ALL COLLEGE PLAYERS
February 23, 2009
The turnout for the select-side training was much better this time with 20 players in attendance from 7 schools. Thank you all for your dedication and hard work these past few weeks.
Next Saturday every player needs to be in and around the Ft Lauderdale area Friday night – with no exceptions. Our first game’s kick off time against Eastern Penn Selects is 10:00AM and the second game’s kick off against Cal Berkley is 2:00 PM.
I would like everyone to be at the field no later than 8:30 AM with their boots on and ready to play. There are is pre-game waivers and rosters to be filled out, so please be prompt!
At Sunday’s practice I designated a school contact so that my game strategy information could be delivered via email. Please be sure you are familiar with this info for the games.
These contacts are:
USF – Coach Gordon
UM – Coach Franklyn
FAU – James Gould
ORL – Shane Ferrelli
ERA – Jordan Kiser
UCF – Ken Bernstein
FSU – Dylan Hamilton
Please, each one of you, call me by Wednesday February 25 before 7:00 PM and provide me with the names of players from your school who will be participating in the games and who will be sleeping in the hotel. I have Hotel Reservations already paid for so everyone has a bed to sleep in; but I need names ASAP!
If you are a returning player from this past semester, please wear your blue T-shirts to warm up in – I have T-shirts for those new players.
I have 7 rooms booked in the Holiday Inn only minutes away from the Tradewinds Park Facility. Here is the name and address:
BOCA RATON-WEST
Holiday Inn Express
8144 GLADES RD
BOCA RATON, FL 33434
1-561- 482 – 7070
You can Map Quest and obtain driving directions. When you check in please ask which room I am in and give me a call so I can enter you onto the game day roster.
We will all meet at the Hotel at 8:00 AM and caravan down to the pitch to begin our day. Please be on time and be ready to warm up when we arrive.
Should you have any questions, please call me directly and without delay!
Coach Franklyn
A final note for all college players – the games being played are tune up games leading into the LAU competition in November 2009. There will be plenty of opportunity for other players to participate in future training camps. Many of you are still competing for a National Title and want to be sure you are healthy for your individual club. I wish all success and I look forward to seeing you later in the year.
